Where do I even begin with this one? First of all, I had a tremendous amount of support from the entire team at Akins Parker. When I was first presented with the existing site and the challenge to cater the brand to the target audience, I started wondering; Just who was this target audience? And, how can I make this brand stand out without straying too far away from its mother brand? The solution was not simple: Keep it clean, yet "greasy." Keep it organized, yet "distressed." After tons of research, strategizing, wireframing, agonizing, I landed on a design which satisfied the street car racers, the outdoor adventurers, the engineering enthusiasts, and yes, the "Priusus."

PARTS MADE SIMPLE
It's all about the parts. That's why we decided to focus our site around the searchability and purchase of TRD parts. By adding a bug to find a dealer and/or to search for parts, we modified a 6-step process into a 3-step process.

PRODUCT 360's
We collaborated with a team of seasoned artists to develop 3D models which enabled users to rotate and explore actual renderings from TRD engineers.

MONTHLY STORIES
Each month, we wrote, designed, laid out, and developed a new feature story. Sometimes, we even directed photo-shoots! The client was so pleased with the results that during production, we were awarded the honor of combining Toyota Racing material with our own! This included weekly article updates for NASCAR, NHRA and OFF ROAD racing. Additionally, our site included recent social media posts, up-to-date press releases and driver profile information. To conquer this feat, we built a custom CMS system which allowed us to update copy and images at the drop of a dime.

ANIMATED ASSETS
One of my favorite things in the world is to animate so I couldn't resist the urge to pitch animated headers for the website. Luckily, the team loved the work!
